Welcome to VoteToronto2010.com, a new site about the issues, ideas and choices facing Torontonians as they prepare to go to the polls to elect a new mayor and a new council on October 25, 2010.

As of this inaugural post, there are exactly 9 months to go (274 days for those keeping track) until voting day. Nine months is an eternity when you consider that most provincial and federal election campaigns, officially speaking, last roughly 30 days. But even with nine months to go, Toronto’s municipal campaign is already in high gear, with a steady stream of campaign announcements, stump speeches, intrigue around who is supporting whom, and ideas to make this city and this region a better place.
